Mountville Mills
The late Emmett Hart established Mountville Mills in 1963 in a small building just outside of LaGrange, Georgia. Hart worked at Callaway Mills for 15 years in the design and development departments before starting his own company at the encouragement of his wife, Nancy.
Emmett and Nancy were among the first seven employees of Mountville Mills. Today, the family - owned business maintains more than 640,000 square - feet in manufacturing plants, and more than 500 employees at divisions in LaGrange, GA, Dalton, GA Ronse, Belgium, and Guangzhou, China. Mountville has come to be recognized as the leading manufacturer of floor mats in the world. Since 1963, Mountville Mills has produced the finest, most technologically advanced mats on the market. From our very first mats we’ve focused on customer service, on-time deliveries and product quality.
In 1979, David Hart joined his father in the business and worked together with Emmet until his passing in 2000. At this time, an executive team headed by his children was ready to move the company forward.
Increased sales show the demand continuing to grow for the company’s products. Mountville Mills first expanded by joining forces with The Andersen Company in Dalton, Georgia in 1999.
Then, in spring of 2004, Mountville Mills expanded to China. The company opened a sales office in Guangzhou, which serves as an additional logo mat design center, and has since diversified into manufacturing, focusing primarily on printed logo mats for Asia.
In 2005, Mountville expanded its operations to Ronse, Belgium, where it maintains a 6000 m² manufacturing and sales facility to service the mat needs of its European customers.
In 2008, Mountville acquired the North American business unit of Kleen-Tex Industries, Inc. The welcomed additions to the Mountville family include the LaGrange - based mat manufacturing operation, Mountville Mills Rubber Company, and Mountville Mills Canada, located in Mississauga, Ontario.
